Yes, you are permitted provided you submit proof of age.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we only offer courses online to students in the age group of 15-50 years. Once the campus reopens, we intend to take on older candidates.

We apologize, due to the old structure of our current building putting a ramp is not possible though we definitely plan to have them when we build our new campus. However, if you meet the required age and educational criteria to join the course, you are welcome to join the online version of the course.

About the Courses

Every course lasts for about 3 months. The days of the classes are Monday to Saturday except the 2nd and 3rd Saturday which are off.  All classes run between 9 am-5.30 pm. Your timings will depend on which course you join.

Every course has either an exam or practical assessment or both. Only those students who complete their exam/assessment and ensure the minimum of 70% attendance will be given the passing certificate. Specifically for online courses, no examinations are conducted but assessments are made on the assignment that needs to be submitted and students are given a ‘Participation Certificate’ if they complete their assignments.

The offline course will be conducted between 9.10 am to 5.00 pm and you have to physically come to the campus. Online courses are conducted between 9 am to 5.30 pm and you can attend them online using a tablet or smartphone or any computer device.

Children are not allowed in the classrooms. However, those students who attend the courses on campus can leave their child in our Balwadi provided they are between the age of 2.5 to 4.5 years

Basic – If you have not attended any course earlier in the concerned subject, you should take the basic course. If you have completed a basic course at JBV or at any other institute, you can join the intermediate level. Finally, if you have completed the intermediate course at JBV or another place, you can take the advance course. Proof of finishing the previous level of courses will be required to get admission to the next level.

Yes, you will be permitted if you pass your course at JBV and if seats to your course are available.

We are guided by our vision, which is to make our students market-ready after they complete their courses from JBV. While we intend to help them get a job or start a home business, realizing this goal will take some time. So currently, we provide training to our students, and the students have to find a job or start their home business on their own.

Yes, we constantly aim to improve our training by upgrading our current courses and introducing new ones. Please feel free to email us regarding the courses which you will be interested in (if we don’t offer it already) and if it matches the JBV vision we will consider it in the future.

Yes, we can consider running such courses but it will be mandatory for the students to at least be a graduate and there must be sufficient demand for such a course.

You can join the computer-based courses on campus even if you do not have a computer. But for online computer courses, you will need a desktop or laptop at home.

About the Classes

Attendance will not be given for the day. If you don’t have 70% attendance by the end of the course, you will not be eligible to attend the exam/assessment that will get you a passing certificate.

Most courses have multiple timings to choose from. You can choose the one that suits you best.

Preferably a computer or laptop. If you don’t have either, you can use your mobile phone. However students enrolling for online computer courses will need a computer for practical training.

The platform we currently use is Zoom. Once you are given admission to our course(s), you will be guided on how to join the course. Please click on the link How to Join an Online Course for more information.

About the Teacher

All the teachers that we hire have a minimum educational qualification and also are tested on their skill and capability for teaching that particular course. Only after they are qualified on both parameters are they hired. Moreover, we take feedback from students at the end of the courses to assess how the instructors are doing.

You can contact your teachers by emailing them. For online courses, once you are admitted into a class, the teachers will form a WhatsApp group, so you can ask your questions on the group during working hours.

About the Campus, Transportation & Safety

Once the COVID pandemic is over and the government permits regular class to be run

We take a lot of precautions to safeguard our student’s wellbeing. We have strict protocols for entry, round-the-clock security around the boundaries, and a female security guard near the classrooms in case of any issues. Having said that, JBV takes no responsibility for any student’s personal belongings, and we advise all students to not bring their valuables to the campus.
