About Our Courses

JBV offers numerous skill-development courses, each lasting 3 months. Girls aged 15 and above can enroll in single or multiple courses. We train 1,600+ students per year and have been seeing a steady increase in the enrolment numbers. Each batch has approximately 400 students who account for about 700-course enrolments  (as some students enroll for multiple courses).

Currently,  the campus is open and courses are conducted online and on-campus too

Our Approach

Our aim is to offer courses that are tailor-made, holistic, and need-based. Apart from employability and soft skills, students at JBV can receive training on business management, personality development, language & communication, life & positive thinking, and behavior & etiquette. This will not only help produce well-rounded & market-ready candidates but also empower them at a mental, physical and emotional level.

The teaching/instructional methodology is engaging, comprising games, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and sharing of practical experiences and case studies.

We offer courses that

  • Equip women from low-income backgrounds with the skill sets they need to earn a livelihood for themselves and their families
  • Help the students gain employment or start a business
  • Are relevant to the market – skills that have high demand, such as tailoring, embroidery, crafts and mehendi, but no structured teaching resources
  • Encourage traditional trades if relevant, such as pottery, plumbing, carpentry, welding, masonry, and weaving

To apply for a course, you should

  • Be a woman between the age of 15-50 years
  • Have completed SSLC or equivalent
  • Have completed PUC or a higher degree if you want to do a computer-based course
  • Know the basics of operating a computer if you want to do a computer-based course
  • Have a smartphone, desktop computer, or laptop with internet connection if you want to do an online course

Please note that once you decide to take a course/courses at JBV, you will need to attend at least 70% of the classes in order to qualify for taking the exams and eventually get the Passing Certificate.

Please keep scanned versions or photographs of the following documents ready before you start the application process:

  • A recent passport size photograph of yours (should be clear and not older than 6 months)
  • ID Proof – any one (Aadhar Card/ Voter ID/ Driver’s License/ College ID/ Pan Card/ Ration Card)
  • Proof of highest educational qualification (Mark sheet/ Passing Certificate/ Graduation degree)
  • Proof of completing the previous level course if applying for an intermediate/advanced course (Passing/Participation Certificate from JBV or equivalent)
