Ethnic Jewellery

Ethnic Jewellery is handcrafted by various artists based on the fashion trends. It is also called as ‘The Art of Ethnic’ and ‘Trendy Jewellery Making’. Jewelry has a special place in the life of every person. Ethnic Jewellery is paired with traditional and modern clothing during the festivals celebrations, traditional saris made of cotton & silk. Indian jewellery art forms also vary from one region to another, with some prominent ones being Kundan, Meenakari and Filigree work.

Artificial jewellery pieces are made from beads, shells, enamel, gemstones like amber and coral and precious metal. We teach the students how to use raw material (that requires minimal investment) to create different designs like jhumkas (earrings), maangtika, anklets, necklaces and bangles.

Ethnic jewellery is made from eco-friendly clay, and the designs are inspired by nature: animals, leaves, flowers, traditional motifs and elaborate patterns. Because this jewellery is handcrafted, it commands a high price. We teach students how to mould and paint clay and then convert it into beautiful pieces jewellery. As the initial investment is low, students can earn high margins on the jewellery they make and sell.

“JBV helps many students identify their career paths by equipping them with the skills they need to earn a livelihood. The teachers are well-versed with their subjects and are helpful. The rules and regulations are for the students’ benefit. JBV’s clean atmosphere boosts our mental state. JBV should conduct more courses for women and encourage them to earn a livelihood. These facilities are not available outside of JBV free of cost.”
